How We Work
Every project begins with understanding.
Before making design decisions, we immerse ourselves in the context of a place—its architecture, landscape, culture, history, and purpose. Equally important is understanding the people the space is designed for and how they wish to live, work, gather, and feel within it.
Rather than applying a recognisable style, we allow each project to develop its own identity, shaped by its setting, purpose, and the people who inhabit it. Light, materiality, proportion, texture, movement, and atmosphere are considered with equal care, creating environments that feel authentic to both their context and the people who use them.
Suō can be involved in different ways—from shaping a project from its earliest stages to providing creative direction within an existing architectural team. Whether leading the entire process or guiding the overall vision, our role is to bring clarity, coherence, and continuity across disciplines, collaborators, and decisions.
Operating as a creative collective, Suō brings together architects, artisans, designers, and specialist collaborators according to the needs of each project, ensuring that every contribution supports one clear and coherent creative vision.
While rooted in Mallorca, we welcome projects wherever they may be, collaborating with local partners whenever needed to ensure every project responds authentically to its place.

Having spent the first half of my life in Munich and the second immersed in Mediterranean culture, my perspective has been shaped by both worlds. This balance between clarity and warmth, structure and intuition continues to influence my approach to design.
My background spans branding, visual communication, photography, film, and interior design, which has given me a deep appreciation for storytelling, atmosphere, and the emotional impact of visual experiences. Today, those influences come together to shape environments that feel personal, timeless, and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them.
I work closely with clients, collaborators, and craftspeople to define the creative vision behind each project, guiding its development from concept to completion while ensuring coherence across architecture, materials, details, and atmosphere.

With a background in interior design, sculpture, and bioarchitecture, I have always been fascinated by the relationship between people, spaces, and nature. This combination of disciplines has shaped a design approach grounded in sensitivity, harmony, functionality, and wellbeing.
Having lived and worked between Madrid, Los Angeles, and Mallorca has enriched my appreciation for different cultures, lifestyles, and ways of inhabiting space.
I am interested in how light, materials, proportions, texture, and thoughtful details shape the way we experience a place. Guided by a holistic approach, I seek to create environments that feel calm, balanced, and deeply connected to their surroundings.
Within Suō, I help ideas find their most authentic expression through materials, details, and spatial experience.

The Meaning Behind Suō
Suō (蘇芳) is a Japanese word associated with a deep, earthy red—a colour that evokes warmth, depth, and quiet elegance.
The name also evokes the idea of a nest: a place of comfort, belonging, and connection.
Beyond its literal meaning, Suō reflects our belief that good design creates places where people feel they truly belong.
